Organized under the theme of « Smart Governance for inclusive cities », the 2020 edition of Smart City Africa Casablanca will first of all review the principle of governance of cities and territories and its legal and financial mechanisms aimed at promoting citizen innovation in order to anchor sustainable economic development and social cohesion.
Indeed, the Smart Governance approach requires a global and integrated vision of a city, its services and infrastructures, in all their components. It also touches on the financial aspect in urban management, which is a corollary of the various actions for the development and structural transformation of cities.
Smart Governance is also about creating new methods of community collaboration and communication between citizens and governing institutions. These new forms of exchange can be supported by new information and communication technologies as a catalyst for a dynamic of collaborative innovation at the service of territorial attractiveness and social inclusion.
